Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Blue Me Away!

And, it did just that. I love this colour. Blue Me Away! is the perfect blue shade. It always reminds me of the beach. The formula on this, however, did not "blow me away". No matter how many times I tried, it bubbled EVERY DAMN TIME. And, even with a base coat, it still stained my nails. Not impressed. It wouldn't be worth it if I didn't love this colour so much. Cremes are my absolute favourite as well, and this was opaque in just 2 coats.

I notice my pinkies always look awkward in my photos. It makes me laugh!

Also, just so you all know, I am moving away for school in 3 days (it's 12:01am right now, so yes 3 days!), so I am trying to swatch all of my polishes I own (a nearly impossible task seeing as how I have so. freaking. many!) because I don't know how often I will be able to get good pictures seeing as how I live in a dorm on the sixth floor. I'll try my hardest though! I am beyond excited, and I think it's showing. I can't get to sleep anytime before 2:30am these days! So stressed/nervous/excited/sad/happy at the same time!

That's all for now :) Have an awesome night, fellow bloggers!

Nailstah's Giveaway!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Mellow Yellow

Happy evening, all! Tonight I'm late on posting, but I got back from R's late. I have a really summery colour for you guys. I'm trying to get all of my summer colours up before summer is over (which is really soon, boo!).
So tonight I have Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Mellow Yellow. As is with all yellows, this was one streaky, pain in the rear. Eventually it evened out after 3 coats. I wanted to like this colour. I really did.. but I didn't. It was all wrong for my skintone, it was too bright, and I couldn't help but feel disgusted with my nails. They just felt, well, dirty. :( It's still a lovely colour.. just not for me!

This was in the shade. I find it looks better in the shade, but this is not how the colour really is.

Even in this picture, it still doesn't capture how damn bright it really is.

Do any of you fellow bloggers like Mellow Yellow? What about other polishes from the Xtreme Wear line?

Have a great night!

Nicole by OPI - Play Fair

Hey all :),

Tonight I have a very nice, lavender colour to share with you guys. It's from Nicole by OPI (a brand I personally love, despite all the haters out there!). This colour is very sheer, and took about four coats to get a nice opaque colour. Very pretty, and shimmery. I wear it when I need something nice and neutral, but still pretty.

natural light; 4 coats.

shade, no flash; 4 coats.

That's it for tonight :) I'm gone to R's house for the night tomorrow, so I won't get a chance to blog, but I have many more swatches lined up for you guys to see when I return!

Have a great night :)

Dainty Darling Digits Sula Giveaway!

The blog over at Dainty Darling Digits is having a great Sula Giveaway including the Paint & Peel polish (a huge lemming of mine!)

Be sure to check it out here!

:):)

LA Colors - Phenomena

Today, as I was outside doing some swatching of so many untried, the darn clouds crept up on my precious sun and hid it away! Darn. However, I did manage to get a few swatches done, for example LA Colors, Phenomena. It's a beautiful creme-y purple. This colour is gorgeous!

Gah, soo nice!

This is 3 coats, without top coat. I find without a top coat it has more of a satin-y finish, but I love it none the less. :)
Much more posts to come in the near future! Maybe no today, but definitely tomorrow :)

Thanks for looking :)

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue.

Another post, comin' right at ya! This here is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear, Pacific Blue. I adore this colour. It's not too in your face, but it's not too subtle either. Perfection. I absolutely love the Xtreme Wear polishes. For one, they are very affordable, and two, they have a wide range of colours. The application of them is usually a little thick, but I can deal.

This here is two coats. You can see how it got a little thick, and didn't really even out even after a topcoat. Ahh, oh well. I still love this colour.

Outdoors, natural light.

The only thing I really, really don't like about Xtreme Wear is they don't put the name of the polish on the bottle itself. Instead, I have to head over to the Sally Hansen website and look it up. Annoying for the more lazier people, like myself. :)

Thanks for looking!

OPI - Meet On The Star Ferry.

Hey bloggers! Today I have a very big lemming of mine to show you. OPI's, Meet Me On The Star Ferry. The moment I saw this colour swatched by other bloggers, I had to have it. Unfortunately, I live in a very small town that gets limited choices when collections come out. So, I had to wait, and wait, and wait until finally, I went away to Toronto and found it!

The application on this was perfect, and only needed two colours. I love love LOVE the way the sun catches it. Gahh, I love this colour!

This here was outdoors (on my boyfriend's porch, haha). Two coats, and a whole lot of awesomeness. :)

This is indoors, right by my screen door. I was too lazy to go outside, but I'm glad I didn't! I like how this picture turned out. :)
That's all for now. I did ALOT of swatches over the past couple days, so except to see some new posts very soon! Sorry for the long break, but it's not all bad because I got some more excellent polishes to show you guys!

Thanks for looking :)

What's With the Cattitude..Franken dupe?!

The other day I was browsing new blogs when I came across a fantastic one, Elle Hearts Blogs. Not only is she hosting an amazing giveaway, but she really seems to know what's in atm. So, what does she say is "in" at the moment? Pale sky blue hues, for example, "What's With the Cattitude?" Perfect! Only.. one problem, I only bought the mini's from the Shrek Forever After Collection, minus Funky Dunkey. And, my What's With the Cattitude? is dead. Nothing left, thick, doesn't even go on the nail. So, I either buy a new one, spending my precious money.. or create a dupe! Boy, how easy that was! I had two old bottles of polish, a white Wet n' Wild one, and a blue NYC colour I had lying around for ages. A few (thousand) drops later, and voila! Almost a near perfect dupe! These pics aren't that great, and honestly I couldn't even get ONE coat of WWTC to do a comparison, so I'm using a picture from an old post. :)

This is my dupe for WWTC? Love it!

WWTC? looks more bright blue in this pic, but honestly, they are soo much alike! I'm so happy with how it turned out.
Also, on an even better note, I have so many new polishes to show you! Some polishes including the new SWISS collection from OPI, a lemming of mine, LA Colors, a few Sally Hansens, and more!
However, you won't be seeing them until next week because it's my birthday weekend!

Have a great weekend, everyone :)

Shrek Forever After Mini's- which I'm sure you've all seen :)

Today I have the Shrek Forever After mini's by OPI, which by now I'm sure you have all seen. I took these some time ago, but forgot about them, and seeing as how I'm still trying to get my nails back in shape, I figure now would be a good time to show you. The colours I have, in order from index is: Rumple's Wiggin', Fiercly Fiona, What's with the Cattitude, and Who the Shrek Are You? I love these colours because they are so fun, however I did not like the application whatsoever. Yuck. Streaky, thick, bald spots. Just horrible. Maybe it was because I just bought the mini's? I have funky dunky in the larger size and I had no problems with it, so I'm sure that's it. I can't say I have a favourite because I seriously love them all! The only one i didn't buy was 'ogre the top blue'. Not sure why, really. It just didn't stand out to me. Hm, lol. Also, when i took this picture, the weather was horrid, so sorry, but it has to be indoors, bleh. So, here's my swatch after so much babbling. haha! :)

Also, I just wanted to give a shout out to an amazing blogger. Reese from newbie nails is awesome! She leaves the best comments, and did i mention her amazing blog? Be sure to check it out!

Have a great night :)
