Nicole by OPI - Yellow, It's Me.

Today I have an amazing yellow from Nicole by OPI called "Yellow, It's Me". This colour is amazing. It took four coats to get good coverage, but I think it's worth it. It reminds me of cold lemonade on a hot summer day. I know not many people like Nicole, but I LOVE this brand. There is always such fun colours :)

Revlon - Minted.

So, as I have recently told you, I broke seven of my nails the other day :( *sniff*. However, I luckily had some swatches that I hadn't done yet, so I will be showing you those until my nails aren't just nubbins anymore.

So, today I have Minted by Revlon. I find it is close to Essie's, Mint Candy Apple. Hm.. maybe i should do a comparison to see. ..maybe soon :) Anyways.
I bought this colour after I had talked to Revlon about my issues with their Sweet Tart (it was a hot, streaky mess of awful), so they very nicely sent me a five dollar gift certificate. I wasn't about to buy another Sweet Tart, so instead I picked up this beauty.

The application was okay, a bit streaky and I got a few bald spots, but they eventually evened out on the last coat.. I do like the overall look of it though, nice and summery, which is my favourite for summer, of course!

Essie: Watermelon (!!)

Hey !
Today for all you polish pals, I have my all-time favourite summer colour. Watermelon by Essie. Seeing as how I am a huuge pink fan, and love wearing them in the summer, this colour is EXACTLY the right shade. I bought it some time ago, but recently I ran out of it. So of course I was very excited when I realized shopper's was having a sale on them for $6.99! anyway, this is my swatch.

i thought this captured the colour a bit better?

I hope you all have a great day! Thanks for looking :)

Rimmel London - Lasting Finish Pro.

Hey everyone, :)
Yesterday I was at my friend B's house, and she surprised
me with part of my birthday present: four amazing colours from Rimmel's Lasting Finish Pro collection. :) I'm very excited! the colours she picked are very me, and all of them have the best shimmer to them. So far I've only tried two of them, Electric Pink and Marine Blue.
The other two colours I got are Midnight Blue and Violet Metal.

from the left: midnight blue, electric pink, violet metal, marine blue.

first up is electric pink. i love this colour for so many reasons, the first one being that i am a huge fan of pinks, especially in the summer. the second one is that when the sun catches it just right, it sparkles like a dream. did i mention the application was flawless? this is 2 coats with no clean up! the only problem i had was that you could still see the white underneath, but i think another coat would fix that :)

second, i have marine blue. also a flawless application. i think it's because they have nice wide brushes, much like opi's pro-wide. either way, i love it. this colour also shimmers in the sun and there's tiny, tiny sparkles in it that i tried to capture, but failed for my lack of camera skills! haha.

So there you have it, 2 out of the 4 polishes I received. I'll be swatching the other 2 sometime soon. Also, this is my first real polish blog, so go easy on me! I'm just getting the hang of it, but any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for looking, guys! :)
